This team operates in the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities area of Global Markets Risk Technology and works on a suite of server applications that support “Electronic Trading” and “Straight Thru Processing” of various types of Rates & Rates Derivatives business products.
The incumbent for this role will work as an individual contributor as part of the India team. He/she will closely with the global teams to provide support in the development, enhancement, maintenance and support of the applications within this space.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, maintain and support Java/J2EE based server applications using advanced J2EE features like messaging, distributed caching etc. for Global Rates Electronic Trading business.
- Should be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Should have the ability to work in a collaborative manner with remote teams across New York, London, Singapore and Tokyo to provide solutions and deliver to meet rapidly changing business requirements.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on Core Java (JDK 1.5+: Collections/Multi-Threading) and possesses strong technical skills in Java.
- Experience in using Linux command line/shells/scripts.
- Experience in developing server side Java applications using Spring framework.
- Real-time messaging system experience (e.g. JMS, MQ, TIBCO, EMS etc.).
- Experience or in-depth knowledge of any distributed caching product/platform.
- Identify, analyze, communicate and resolve application, infrastructure and environmental issues and problems.
- Provide Level 2/3 support to Production Support team.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good team player.
